Letter from the editors ...

Welcome to November ’04 edition of Chumz Voice. Although we are in the infancy stages, our contributors are not taking any baby steps to provide teens with a voice. Growing pains aside, we are working hard to give teenagers a forum that encourages the expression of their thoughts and ideas. Feel free to email us with article ideas of your own!

As you read this second issue, we hope that “The Presidential Race” will give first time young voters some “food for thought” and encourage you to think about who really has your best interests in mind. And depression can strike anyone at any age, but teens especially need to know the dangers involved with taking antidepressants as explained in “Antidepressants: Are They Really Helping?”. On a lighter note, “The Knitting Biker” just proves you can’t judge a book by its cover and be sure and check out “Fun Stuff” for a review of the upcoming movie, “The Incredibles” and soon to be released CD, A.F.I.-A.F.I., as well as the featured “hobby of the month”

Sincerely
Joselyn Smith-Greene

The Knitting Biker
New York City is a unique place, one where a person could find something interesting no matter where they go. One such place is the popular NYC subway system. Riding on the train is an experience that every New Yorker has enjoyed, or regretted, at least once in his/her life. Some may find the things they see odd, , and others may think of it as just another occurrence, but either way, these experiences share their own unique quality, every time. Such was the case when a huge biker took a ride on the train, and left some of my friends and I stunned at what he began to do. READ MORE ...
