Welcome to the very first edition of our Chumz online newsletter.

This is a very special publication because it is written by teenagers for teenagers. Our goal is to bring you insightful and entertaining articles that encourage you to think about and uplift the quality of your life, as a young person living in New York City.

Our “Fun Stuff” section brings you up to date with the latest movies and CD’s and books while highlighting a “hobby of the month” you might want to try for yourself. And finally, after reading “Watch out! You could be Next….The Possibility of a Military Draft”, send us your thoughts about a mandatory draft! What is it that competition achieves except tensions, bad relationships and unnecessary headaches? As the U.S. death toll in Iraq has reached a milestone of over 1000 deaths, talk of reinstating the draft has resurfaced in Congress. “It's not a certainty, but it is a strong possibility,” U.S. Rep.
