Letter from the editors ...
Welcome to the very first edition of our Chumz online newsletter.
This is a very special publication because it is written by teenagers for teenagers. Our goal is to bring you insightful and entertaining articles that encourage you to think about and uplift the quality of your life, as a young person living in New York City. As you read this first issue, we hope that “Competition Rears its Monstrous Head” will offer you a different perspective on the competitive challenges you face in your daily lives and that “The 7th Avenue Pigeon” helps you to look at routine tasks and experiences with a fresh set of eyes. Our “Fun Stuff” section brings you up to date with the latest movies and CD’s and books while highlighting a “hobby of the month” you might want to try for yourself. And finally, after reading “Watch out! You could be Next….The Possibility of a Military Draft”, send us your thoughts about a mandatory draft! Since this directly affects you in a most serious way, we want to hear from you. Send your comments to newsletter@chumz.net. We welcome your input and opinions and encourage you to take time to share them with us. Enjoy!
Sincerely,
Joselyn Smith-Greene Clara Lee Editors
